“Rach 2 by 6” Rachmaninoff “Piano Concerto No.2”

Dr. Keith Teepen, currently the Tom Kenan Assistant Professor of Piano at Flagler College, has performed both as a soloist and collaborative pianist in Europe, Asia, South America and throughout North America. He is a multi-faceted musician having collaborated with a diverse spectrum of celebrated artists and Broadway stars. Dr. Teepen also performs with the Red River Trio, with his piano duo partner, Nariaki Sugiura, and was the Music Director for several productions, notably Little Women, and Edges. He earned his bachelor of music degree in piano performance from DePauw University, and received his D.M.A. in Collaborative Piano at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He received a scholarship to study in Vienna, Austria, and has held collaborative piano positions at DePauw University School of Music and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Vinicius Sant’Ana, a Brazilian violinist celebrated for his artistry and leadership, has served as Concertmaster of the Pro de Acucar Orchestra and is an accomplished chamber musician. He has performed in Carnegie Hall, and has captivated audiences in Brazil, China, Japan, Argentina, the Czech Republic and Italy. Mr. Sant’Ana serves as a violin and viola instructor at Maranatha Baptist University and is the conductor of the Suzuki Strings of Madison, Wisconsin.
Kimberly Zielinski, violinist, was born into a musical family. She began playing at the age of 5, when she asked her mother for a violin after seeing the New York Philharmonic. She began performing professionally at age 14 with local bands and performing groups, and has been a member of the Jacksonville Youth Symphony Orchestra, the St. Augustine Community Orchestra, the Coastal Symphony of Georgia and a national tour with the New Sigmund Romberg Orchestra. Her career has included over 1,500 live performances, including 25 musical theatre productions with local companies including the Limelight Theatre, ABET, Players by the Sea, and Flagler College.
Hannah Barrow, violist, received her Bachelor of Music degree from Florida State University and her Master of Music degree with an emphasis in orchestral performance from Arizona State University. She has taught music theory and conducted the Repertory Orchestra at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, music in St. Augustine schools and currently works as a freelance violinist and violist performing regularly with ensembles throughout the southeast.
Brittany Maroney, cellist, graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Florida attaining the accolade of Most Outstanding Musician of the Year for four years. She has performed with numerous touring artists including the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Styx, and Celtic Woman. She performs regularly for local chamber and symphony concerts, operas and musicals and for local artists’ albums and YouTube music videos. Brittany performs regularly for First Coast Opera, the Amelia Island Chamber Singers, the St. Augustine Community Chorus and also maintains a private music studio of about 40 students in Green Cove Springs, FL.
Anthony Cananzi, Jr. serves as director of bands at Tocoi Creek High School in St. Augustine, FL. Previously, Cananzi was the band director at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra. He earned a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in music education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Since the opening of Tocoi Creek High School in 2021, their wind ensemble has consistently earned superior ratings and was selected to perform at the 2023/24 Music for All Concert Band Festival in Orlando. The Tocoi Creek Marching Band was named a Bands of America regional finalist in 2024 and will be participating in the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition in November.

“Rach 2 by 6″ will be performed in the sanctuary of Ancient City Baptist Church 27 Sevilla St, St. Augustine, FL 32084, USA.
Dr. Keith Teepen will bring Romanza Festivale 2025 to a spectacular completion with a performance of the incredible “Piano Concerto No. 2” by Sergei Rachmaninoff. This amazing and much beloved composition will be performed by Dr. Teepen with a string quartet and timpani in the sanctuary of Ancient City Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, May 18. Joining Dr. Teepen will be Vinicius Sant’Ana, violin; Kimberly Zielinski, violin; Hannah Barrow, viola; Brittany Maroney, cello; and Anthony Cananzi, timpani.
Opening selections will feature Dr. Teepen performing George Gershwin‘s “Rhapsody in Blue,” with violinist Kimberly Zielinski (transcribed for violin and piano by Thierry Huillet), and Cesar Franck’s “Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano,” with violinist Vinicius Sant’Ana.
There will be a brief intermission before the concerto.
